Saturday, March 2, is Lake Highlander’s White Elephant Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check your closets and sheds for all those items you can live without: Tools, small appliances, furniture (small items only, must be pre-approved, nothing heavy), craft items, baskets, dishes, silverware, jewelry, shoes, pocketbooks, scarves, art, frames, and other miscellaneous items. PLEASE CLEAN ITEMS BEFORE DONATING! No items with rips or tears, faded, stained or moldy. If you wouldn’t buy it, don’t donate it.
We do not accept clothing, computer monitors, or ancient TV sets. The sale will sell anything else that is clean and in good working order.
In February, there will be a sign-up sheet in the clubhouse if you need items to be picked up. We will do pickups on Wednesdays – February 7th, 14th and 21st. Please hold all items until then. All day Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday, February 29, donations can be brought to the clubhouse using the back doors by the pool and library. Volunteers will be there to assist you and will take your treasures for sorting, pricing, and display.
Residents only may shop inside on Friday, March 1 from 2 – 4 pm. On Saturday, a Snack Bar will be set up along with a huge Bake Sale table.
50/50 tickets will be sold starting in January – look for Debbie Griffith on her bike, along with her crew at all upcoming events. 50/50 tickets will sell for $1 each or 7 for $5.
